Agony is a good horror/stealth game, for sure the best representation of Hell ever seen in a game. Although if the visual impact is amazing, many of the mechanics don't work as they should, making the game at times too frustrating or difficult to explore.

Agony is a game I really wanted to love and visually, the game looks rather impressive, even some of the early gameplay moments feel well crafted and fresh, yet, as a whole, Agony just doesn’t hold up against other games of the genre — at best, Agony feels like a lovechild between Red Barrel’s Outlast series and id Software’s 2016 Doom reboot, and at its worst, Agony feels like a game that probably needed a few more months in the crucible before inviting us all to join it down in Hell.

For as much as I liked the visual and audio designs, and they really are pretty great, the actual gameplay is just too frustrating and dull too much of the time. Conforme matéria do Game Hall, a produtora polonesa Madmind Studio, recentemente formada, anunciou seu primeiro projeto chamado Agony. No jogo você controlará um protagonista ainda não revelado, que será um personagem histórico conhecido o qual estará tentando fugir do inferno.
Ele não se lembra do seu passado e precisa utilizar uma habilidade especial que lhe permite controlar pessoas e até mesmo demônios com mentes fracas, para conseguir os recursos necessários para sobreviver às condições extremas que encontrar. Escapar das profundezas do inferno não será tarefa fácil. O jogador terá de evitar confrontações, resolver quebra-cabeças para recuperar suas memórias e encontrar a mística Red Goddess, caso queira salvar sua alma.
Os funcionários da Madmind Studio trabalharam em jogos como Tom Clancy’s The Division, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, entre outros, portanto eles tem o potencial para fazer algo muito bom em seu primeiro jogo no novo estúdio.
Agony está sendo desenvolvido para PC, PS4 e Xbox One, e faz uso da Unreal Engine 4. O lançamento está marcado para ocorrer em 2017.
